The New Mexico AgrAbility Project and NMTAP will be hosting a presentation on Vision AT for Farmers and Ranchers. This educational presentation is focused on vision tools for farmers and ranchers. Terminology regarding disability, assistive technology (AT), adaptive equipment (AE), low vision, blindness, and color blindness will be discussed. Understanding the role of occupational therapists for low vision clients will also be explained, as well as available AT and AE for farmers and ranchers who have visual disabilities. At the end of the session, resources, details, and visual demonstrations of select AT and AE for farmers and ranchers will be shown.
This training is designed for: Health Professionals, Assistive Technologists, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Students, Farmers and Ranchers, and Extension Professionals.
